Oikos Pro and siggi's skyr are two of the most popular high-protein yogurts. We compared the Oikos Pro cups we track with three siggi's products on protein per 100 calories and, because yogurt is often judged by the spoonful, protein per 100 g too.
Verdict: It depends on which siggi's. Plain nonfat skyr beats Oikos Pro per calorie (19.0 vs 15.4), but Oikos Pro beats both flavored siggi's cups we track (14.5 and 10.7) and has more protein per gram than any of them.

What the numbers say
Per calorie and per gram give different winners. Plain skyr is 19 g for 100 calories in a 170 g serving (11.2 g per 100 g). An Oikos Pro cup is 20 g for 130 calories in 150 g (13.3 g per 100 g). More protein per spoonful from Oikos, more per calorie from plain skyr.
Cup for cup, Oikos Pro wins. The fair single-cup comparison is Oikos Pro against siggi's Vanilla Nonfat, both 150 g: Oikos has 4 g more protein for 20 more calories, and still scores higher (15.4 vs 14.5). The plain skyr serving is 3/4 cup (170 g), usually from a larger tub.
Flavor moves siggi's, not Oikos. siggi's drops from 19.0 (plain) to 14.5 (vanilla) to 10.7 (vanilla & cinnamon lowfat). All 7 Oikos Pro flavors we track have identical numbers, so you can pick Oikos by taste.
Which one should you pick?
- Calories are your budget: siggi's Plain Nonfat Skyr (19.0 g protein per 100 calories).
- Most protein in one serving: Oikos Pro Yogurt Cup (20 g).
- Price: we haven't confirmed prices for any of these yet, so this comparison says nothing about value for money.
- Taste: check the shared 👍/👎 votes next to each product on The Hoard Board. They never change the rank, but they make a good tiebreaker.
Caveats
We track only these Oikos Pro and siggi's products; other flavors and sizes may differ. Toppings and mix-ins aren't included. Serving sizes differ between products, so compare the protein and calories, not the package.
