What the numbers say

Egg whites win the morning. 4 of the top 5 items have "egg white" in the name. The Egg White Grill has 27 g of protein for 300 calories, 10 g more than an Egg McMuffin for 10 fewer calories.

Biscuits and sausage sit at the bottom. The four lowest scores are Chick-fil-A Sausage, Egg & Cheese Muffin, Chick-fil-A Spicy Chicken Biscuit, McDonald's Sausage McMuffin with Egg and Chick-fil-A Chicken Biscuit, all between 4.1 and 4.7.

Most protein isn't the best ratio. Chick-fil-A's Hash Brown Scramble Burrito has the most protein of any breakfast here (34 g), but at 700 calories it scores 4.9. The lightest option, Starbucks' Egg White & Roasted Red Pepper Egg Bites, is just 170 calories with 12 g.
